QUARTERLY REVIEW
NEXT UPDATE: February 16, 2018 [Third Quarter (Jul-Sep) 2017 Data]
The Quarterly Review highlights the most recently released quarterly employment and wage data by industry. Second quarter (Apr-Jun) 2017 is the most recent data available. The data are compiled using results from quarterly contribution reports and disseminated through the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) program—a near-census count of all the state’s employers and jobs and considered the most accurate source for detailed employment and wage information by industry for the state, its regions and counties. Employers report the number of employees they have on their payroll for each month of a quarter along with total quarterly wage compensation. Below, we've summarized average employment and average weekly wages for select industries and counties. Asterisks (***) indicate data have been suppressed due to confidentiality restrictions.
